PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electric shock that a user suffers at the time of touching another conductor. SOLUTION: An electrode 15 detecting the human body potential of the user in contact with the user of a potential treatment device is provided and a filter 25 extracting discharged pulses from a potential waveform induced by a potential detecting electrode 15 and a comparator 26 inverting an output at the time of inputting the discharged pulses are provided to be connected with a control part 12. When the user touches a conductor and discharging is generated, the part 12 stops driving of a boosting transformer 13 and restarts energizing to an energizing sheet 14 a fixed period (several sec e.g.) later by a timer. Since the output of the transformer 13 is stopped by the first one wave of discharging, the user hardly feels the electric shock.
