PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backrest of a seat capable of being easily changed to a form corresponding to a using condition. SOLUTION: This backrest 1 of the seat is provided with a body 2 to be attached for which a backrest frame 4 is a main part and the whole is integrally constituted, a mounting body 3 for which a backrest main body 8 is the main part and the whole is integrally constituted and a connection means provided on at least one of the body 2 to be attached and the mounting body 3 for detachably connecting the mounting body 3 to the body 2 to be attached. Then, the connection means is provided with an upper hooking part for hooking the upper part of the backrest main body 8 to the upper part of the backrest frame 4 and a lower hooking part for hooking the lower part of the backrest main body 8 to the lower part of the backrest frame 4. Also, the connection means is provided with a flexible part provided on the outer edge part of the backrest main body 8 and flexible along the outer surface of the backrest frame 4 and a locking member for releasably locking the flexible part wound to the backrest frame 4 to the backrest frame 4 or the backrest main body 8.
