PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ATP eliminant for eliminating ATP of measurement system, useful in food sanitation, clinical examination, medicine, etc., suitable for rapidly measuring ATP in a cell in high sensitivity by making the ATP eliminant include a luciferase as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: A luciferase (e.g. luciferase of Luciola cruciata), a luciferin (e.g. a luciferin of firefly) and further an ATPase as active ingredients are dissolved in a buffer solution containing magnesium acetate, bovine serum albumin(BSA), dithiothreitol sucrose, etc., to give the objective ATP eliminant for rapidly measuring ATP in cells in high selectivity, useful for efficiently eliminating ATP of measurement system, especially free ATP, useful in the field of food sanitation, biotechnology, clinical examination, medicine, etc., suitable for judging the presence of cells in a sample and measuring the number of living cells in the sample.
