PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth anchor having a plurality of anchor steel wires which can be settled and removed easily and surely by a simple operation, and which always can maintain good settlement of the wires. SOLUTION: In an anchor main body 10, by using a toroidal retaining body 20 formed of a thermal plastic resin and having an electrical heating element 22 embedded therein, an anchor steel wire A is settled at a linking location between a sliding body 30 having a toothed groove 42 in a taper internal periphery and a wedge body 40 having a toothed groove 32 in a taper external periphery. Then, the retaining body 20 is thermally decomposed by energizing the electrical heating element 22. Thus, the sliding body 30 moves downward to be separated from the wedge body 40, whereby the anchor steel wire can be removed.
