PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a feed route not applying too much deformation to recording paper by achieving the miniaturization and thickness reduction of a thermal transfer color printer. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 14 having a cylindrical take-up bobbin housing part 23 and a cylindrical supply bobbin housing part 22 is used to be arranged in parallel to the under frame 2 within a frame having an almost rectangular parallelopiped shape and a capstan roller 7, a pinch roller 6, a platen roller 9 and a head arm 30 are arranged within the span of the take-up bobbin housing part 23 and the supply bobbin housing part 22 so that the contact plane at the contact point of the capstan roller 7 and the pinch roller 6 almost coincides with the common contact plane of the cylindrical surface of the take-up bobbin housing part 23 and the peripheral surface of a platen roller 9 and the head cover 11 protecting the driver part of a thermal head 10 quides the recording paper 4 fed along the contact plane so as to bring the same into slide contact with the cylindrical surface of the supply bobbin housing part 22.
