PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be operable from the side, have good operability and use ordinary weight lifting equipment by providing a movable holder inside or ouside a moving cover, and an opening and closing cover held on the holder to be turned and adapted to surround the front side of a working area when it is closed. SOLUTION: A right opening and closing cover 8b and a left opening and closing cover 8a are turnably held on the right side and the left side, respectively, by hinges 7c, 7d, 7a, 7b. Accordingly, the covers can be turned to the right and the left to be opened and closed by the respective handles 9b, 9a fitted to the front, so that the covers can be turned in the horizontal direction one by one to open the front of a moving cover 5, thereby improving operability of an electric discharge machining device. When the moving cover 5 is pushed in inside a fixing cover 3, the right and left sides and the upper surface of a working area of the electric discharge machining device are opened, so that the ordinary weight lifting equipment can be used to freely transport weighty goods.
