PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device provided with both heat shielding and sound absorbing functions by effectively utilizing a heat shielding plate blocking heat radiation from the exhaust device. SOLUTION: An exhaust device 1 such as a catalyst 101 or a muffler provided with a heat shielding structure is disposed under a lower surface 301 of a car body floor 3 of an automobile. A heat shielding plate 4a formed with small holes 6a connected to the atmosphere is interposed between the car body floor 3 and the exhaust device 1. The so-called Helmholtz structure is formed and a sound absorbing function is provided by providing an air layer 5a between the car body floor 3 and the heat shielding plate 4a.
