PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and certainly remove rice bran attached and deposited on the bucket, a carrying belt or the inner surface of a cover and to also easily and certainly perform internal maintenance and inspection. SOLUTION: The grain carrying lifter 1 lifts and carrys grain by a large number of buckets 12 attached to a carrying belt 11 circulated in up and down directions. A self-supported carrying unit 16 is constituted of a skeleton body 15 having upper and lower pulleys 13, 14 respectively mounted on the upper and lower end parts thereof and the carrying belt 11 having a large number of the buckets 12 attached thereto trained over the upper and lower pulleys 13, 14 of the skeleton body 15 and covered with freely detachable covers 17, 17 to form a grain carrying passage.
