PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the interference of a stage with screen guides by a method wherein the rising of the stage to its printing position in advance is inhibited if the rising of the stage, on which a board is held, after its turning by a predetermined angle to its printing position brings the interference of the stage with the screen guides in a printing device for printing solder on the substrate. SOLUTION: Under the state that a stage 5 locates at the lower parts of a pair of screen guides 2a and 2b, the changed positions x1' and x2' in the x-axis direction of the end parts E and F of the stage 5 under the condition that the stage 5 is turned by a predetermined angleθabout a rotating axis center P at the origin are calculated. When the obtained displacement positions x1' and x2' are not included in R between both the screen guides 2a and 2b, the rising of the stage 5 to its printing position is inhibited.
