STOPPER DEVICE FOR FURNITURE WITH CASTERS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper device for furniture with more than three casters under the main body for moving where single operation can activate the stopper to easily and surely restrict the moving of the furniture and another single operation can release the stopper for moving. SOLUTION: A supporting member 27 is mounting protrudingly downward to a main body (a base rod 7) between neighboring two casters. A pair of foot rods 28 energized upward are provided downward for moving up and down at the both sides of the support member 27. The center of a pedal 29 is pivotally mounted at the center of the support member. An action member 31 is provided transversally for moving slidably along the support member. The free end of the pedal and the action member are engaged. The rotation operation of the pedal moves the action member transversally, slope faces 32A of cams 32 provided at the both ends of the action member push the upper ends (heads 33) of the foot rods downward, thereby press contacting the lower ends of the foot rods on floor F.
