A dosing device, especially a device for dispensing a medicament in metered doses, consists of a main body (5, 400) which is provided, at the opposite end of the main body (5, 400) with a mouthpiece (95, 405) and bore (15); a sleeve (20), located within the main body (5), whilst the longitudinal axis of both the sleeve (20) and the main body (5) is generally coaxial; an aerosol dispensing container (25) which is contained within the sleeve (20), whilst said aerosol dispensing container (25) has a stem (40) which contains an aerosol dispensing valve and is arranged in an airtight contact with the bore (15) which contains a shoulder (45) and passage (50) having a dispensing nozzle 55 that ends up in the mouthpiece (95, 405); a spring (80, 480) located between the sleeve (20) and the inner side of the main body (5, 400); a flap (110, 550) located between air inlets (105, 420) and the mouthpiece (95, 405), which flap is pivotable from its rest position towards the active position; a valve port (120, 495) enclosable by means of said flap (110, 550); and a means for axial displacement of the sleeve (20). |
