PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle a recording medium from view points of securing resources and protecting the global environment. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 32 is mounted to a carrier 30 of a recording apparatus main body 10. Recording is carried out to a recording medium 16 with use of ink in the ink cartridge. As the ink cartridge 32, a thermal erase ink cartridge 32A for storing a thermally erasable ink is used exchangeably, for instance, with a non thermal erase ink cartridge for storing a non thermally erasable ink. A use mode of the recording apparatus main body 10 is manually or automatically switched in accordance with the kind of the ink cartridge 32. |
