METHOD FOR MEASURING MOLTEN MATERIAL LEVEL IN FURNACE HEARTH PART OF BLAST FURNACE AND ITS INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level measuring method for grasping the level of molten material in the furnace hearth part of a blast furnace, and an instrument therefor. SOLUTION: Relating to the level measuring method of molten material in the furnace hearth part of the blast furnace and the instrument thereof for grasping the level of the molten material in the blast furnace, an electric circuit is formed with the lowermost electrode in contact with molten iron 2 and the other electrode between at least two sets of the electrodes 6 embedded in the furnace wall brick 4 at the lower part from the lower level of a tuyere in the furnace hearth part of the blast furnace 1 to measure the current quantity flowing in the electric circuit in the outside of the blast furnace. The level of the molten material in the furnace hearth part of the blast furnace can always be grasped with a simple constitution in a blast furnace operation.
