PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain the subject gathered tubular film with high compression ratio through such a method as to need not be additionally cleaned by users and to preserve raised diameter constancy during stuffing process and reliable mechanical processability. SOLUTION: This film is a gathered, biaxially oriented and shrinkable tubular film having at least three layers and prepared to be ready to be stuffed, wherein the inner and outer layers are polyamide-based ones, the intermediate layer being water-barrier one. Furthermore, this film is such one that, prior to be gathered, the outer polyamide layer is sprayed with the microdroplets of a spray medium each 0.01-0.5 mm size in such a quantity as to correspond to the saturation limit for the polyamide layer or less and then this film is stored without exchange of the medium under ambient moisture until it infiltrates into the outer layer.
