PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container tilting device for tilting a minor capacity container for temporary storage of any objects over a large capacity container, transferring the contained objects for collection, capable of easy and effective execution of operation, and allowing a transfer even in a working yard with a low ceiling. SOLUTION: A container tilting device is composed of a base machine due to a self-mobile vehicle equipped with an elevating/sinking function and an attachment 15A for tilting to be mounted in the elevation part 10 of the base machine, wherein the attachment 15A is equipped with a mounting and supporting part 16 whose base end is attached to the elevation part 10 of the base machine, an inversive dumping part 17 furnished with an engaging and retaining means for a container 2 for temporary storage and pivoted at the forefront of the mounting and supporting part 16, and an inversive driving means 27 interposed between the two parts 16 and 17 and generating swinging rotation along the locus in circular arc over the pivotal point where the inversive dumping part 17 is pivoted on the mounting and supporting part 16.
