METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR WASHING ELECTRIC PRECIPITATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make equally washable the soot accumulated in the narrow gaps between the electrode plates of an electric precipitator over a wide range by bubbles of a washing soln. even with respect to a large dust collecting electrode plate employed in a recent electric precipitator. SOLUTION: Washing bubbles are almost equally supplied to the gaps between dust collecting electrode plates 2 from the upper parts of the electrode plates and allowed to fall to the lower parts thereof to wash the surface of the electrode plates 2 and the electrode plates 2 after washing are dried. By this constitution, even in a electric precipitator E having electrode plates 2 made long in dimension in a dust collecting air flow direction, the whole of soot on the electrode plates can be washed off by the chemical action of a surfactant in washing bubbles.
