PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer capable of securing stable travelling to discharge a tape wound and stored in the inside of a cartridge. SOLUTION: A travelling route for discharge in a curved direction due to a curving habit given to a tape is secured in a tape printer 1 arranging a printing part 4 having a recording head in a main body case 18, installing a tape cartridge 3 respectively winding the tape having a printing surface and an ink ribbon to be used for printing on the printing surface of the tape in this printing part 4 and to discharge a part applied with printing of the tape out of the main body case 18 from the inside of the tape cartridge at least in accordance with the travelling route for discharge formed on the main body case 18 and the printing part 4 after applying desired printing on the printing surface of the tape 2 by the recording head by transferring ink of the aforementioned ink ribbon to it.
