PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pier and a footing of an overpass such as overbridge or the like provided so as to cross over an existing road. SOLUTION: Since an area scale 17 of a footing 6 is formed in the shape of a circular surface, a projected net area gets bigger, load can be surely borne on simple constitution, and a construction cost can be reduced. Since a pier 5 is constituted by winding a plurality of sliver-like panel sections 22 with PC steel wires to connect, the panels can be quickly built up, the upper part has a small cross section, the lower part fitted to a fitting section 18 of the footing 6 has a large cross section, and since there is the hollow trunk section 23 in the middle part of the pier to form it in the shape of a truncated cone as a whole, an area of the lower part make no difference in the size of the footing 6, the stress concentration to the pier 5 can be prevented, and the occurrence of cracks is prevented to prevent the lowering of strength.
