PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a regenerated cellulose composition capable of producing a rayon having chemical stability, high safety, excellent handle, resistance to repeated washing and dyeability, etc., by making the composition include a specific amount of a hydrocarbon compound. SOLUTION: This regenerated cellulose composition comprises 0.1-10 wt.% based on a regenerated cellulose of one or more hydrocarbon compounds selected from a naturally occurring squalane, squalene, squalene partially hydrogenated material, chemically synthesized squalane, liquid paraffin and an olefin oligomer (hydrogenated substance) such as a butene/isobutene copolymer (hydrogenated substance). Preferably an aqueous emulsion of the hydrocarbon compound is added to a viscose before formation, formed, coagulated and regenerated to produce a formed product composed of the regenerated cellulose composition.
