PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a calendar from which dates of a next month or previous month of a designated year and month can be detected in a limited breadth size of a printing medium. SOLUTION: A breadth size of a tape as a printing medium is detected (A14) by inputting a designated year and month and ordering printing (A11-A13). When the breadth size of the tape is not smaller than a predetermined value W, in a first mode, all days of the week of an adjacent month (next month or previous month) are added and printed correspondingly to dates in one line to a calendar of the designated year and month (A15, A17). If the breadth size of the tape is smaller than the predetermined value W, in a second mode, days of the week of the next month or previous month are added and printed on a blank of a line where a first day or a last day of the calendar of the designated month belongs (A16, A17). Accordingly, a calendar with which not only dates of the month, but dates of the next month or previous month can be easily confirmed can be obtained as the printed result.
