摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint holding device capable of holding a double Cardan type constant velocity joint having mutually eccentric and tiltable first member and second member in a concentric shape without inclining the axis. SOLUTION: A joint holding device has restricting jigs 70, 72 concentrically held in a chuck main body 80 and a chuck 74 for gripping the restricting jig 70. The restricting jig 70 concentrically positions/holds a yoke member 20 on the frictional pressure contact side of a joint 12 in a minor axis part 40. The restricting jig 72 concentrically positions a fitting part 46 of a yoke member 22 in a fitting recessed part 172, and an inclination of the axis of the yoke member 22 is removed by a press to an end surface 44 of the yoke member 22 by energizing force of a compression coil spring 152. While rotating the joint 12 via the chuck 74 in the state, a concentrically positioned tube 50 is pressed to the yoke member 20 so that end surfaces 48, 52 of both are frictionally brought into pressure contact with each other.
