PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating residual concrete remaining in a hopper of a concrete pump vehicle, piping or others after completion of an operation for placing concrete. SOLUTION: In this method for treating residual concrete, an air mat 11 which is sectioned into a plurality of measures in inflation and wherein recesses 14 are formed in the individual measures is provided and then air is injected into the air mat 11 to inflate it. After the residual concrete is charged in the recesses 14 and cured, the air is discharged to make the air mat 11 contract and small pieces of the concrete separated into a plurality are taken out from the recesses 14. The air mat 11 is provided with a plug part enabling injection and discharged of air so that the mat can be inflated and contracted arbitrarily, while it is sectioned into the measures in a plurality in the inflation and the recesses 14 are formed in the individual measures.
