<p>The wheel set can be deflected in the horizontal direction, the frame being supported by coil springs on the wheel bearings. Friction dampers act between the bearings and the frame, together with spring-loaded axle links deflecting in the vehicle lengthwise direction. The links are spring-loaded against vertical friction faces parallel or at an acute angle to the axles. Each link is pendulum-mounted with no free movement on the frame. At an acute angle to the friction face on the link side towards the frame is a further friction face, working against one on the frame extending nearly in the lengthwise direction.</p> |
