PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaping knotter designed to prevent the disturbance of bundled culm posture, grain loss, malrelease, the disturbance of release posture, etc. SOLUTION: This reaping knotter 1 works as follows: reaped culms are bundled in a bundling space S, the foot side of the culms thus bundled is knotted, and the culms thus knotted are released from one side of the bundling space S out of the knotter; wherein the above-mentioned one side of the bundling space S is provided with a culm catch guide 14 variable in posture, that is, which can take a posture holding an intermediate part of culms or a posture permitting the release of knotted culms, and the guide 14 is designed to be controllable in mounting position so as to coincide with the direction of culms.
