PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the work environment clean by enhancing the dust protecting capacity. SOLUTION: The dust protecting and cooling apparatus 10 of grains is equipped with a motor fan 12 and a suction pipe 34, a sleeve 26 and an air pipe 30 are arranged to the lower end part of the motor fan 12 in this order. A large number of vent holes 32 are formed to the air pipe 30 and the suction pipe 34 is constituted so that the suction port 46 thereof is opened by pulling an on-off string 58 to open a pair of opening/closing lids 42. Further, the upper end part of an unhulled rice storage tank 62 is covered with a sheet 72. Therefore, dust 44 generated when unhulled rice 60 is charged in the unhulled rice storage tank 62 from a grain lift cylinder 78 is effectively sucked from the suction port 46 of the suction pipe 34 arranged just under the motor fan 12 to be discharged to the outside from an exhaust duct 18 through a duct hose 22. As a result, work environment can be made clean.
