PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush which provides a good feel of use, more particularly a contact feel with the gingiva at the time of brushing, is high in the degree of arrival of bristle tips at the interdental parts and is excellent in brush cleaning efficiency and scrapping out force. SOLUTION: A broad flat part 2, which is formed broader than the size of a bristle 1 and is formed flat, is formed at the top end of the bristle of the toothbrush having a head part flocked with a plurality of the bristles and a neck part and clamping part following this part. As a result, the degree of arrival at the interdental parts is enhanced and the brush cleaning efficiency and the scrapping out force are made exceedingly higher than those of the conventional brushes when the broad flat part 2 is formed to the front end. The broad flat part 2 acts like a spatula and, therefore, the stain removing area of the tooth faces is made wider than the conventional brushes. The efficient scrapping off of the steins on the tooth faces is made possible. Since the bristle size from near the base part of the bristles to the necks of the broad flat parts does not change, the bristles themselves have stiffness strength and adequate elastic force and contact feel may be obtained.
