PRINTING METHOD USING INK JET PRINTER

Vinyl acetate resin is applied onto the printing surface (81) of a water-absorbing recording medium (8) to form an image receiving layer (82), and a desired printed image (83) is formed on the surface of the layer (82) with a water-color ink using an ink jet printer. After the printing, the surface of the formed printed image (83) is coated with a xylene solvent to form an ultraviolet shielding layer (84), and then a protection layer (85) is formed on the surface of the ultraviolet shielding layer (84) with a resin paint. The above method can form a durable and weatherproof printed image on the surface of lumber or the like with a water-color ink, thereby making possible a simple and low-cost printing on outdoor signboards and the like.
