In a video signal generating tube of the kind claimed in the parent Specification, the storage plate, spacer means and grid or mesh are cemented together by non- shrinking cement at least at a plurality of places distributed around or just outside the useful picture area of the structure. As shown, the spacermeans comprise four strips 6 so located that their inner edges lie just outside the picture area, the cementing being effected at a plurality of places G, which are preferably unequally spaced so as to reduce microphony still further. However, the plate, spacer means and grid may be cemented together continuously along the length of the spacer means. |
