<p>A user-interface, and an associated method, permits entry of sound symbols which form Korean-language characters (10). An actuation keypad formed of a telephonic keypad (12) has associated therewith Hangul sound symbols of which the characters are formed (12). More than one sound symbol is associated with at least one of the telephonic keys (12). A control device (16) determines, according to the syntax rules of the Korean which of the more than one sound symbol associated with the actuated by the user is to be used to form the characters (34).</p> |
