<p>A process is described of establishing the point of time for adjusting knives in cutting webs of material. Dust which has formed when cutting is collected, the dust content is determined and the determined content is monitored and, if the content exceeds a predetermined value, an adjustment is made of the knives. A device for carrying out the process is described for establishing the point of time for adjusting knives in cutting webs of material. The device comprises a vacuum tube (2) arranged adjacent to the knives for collecting dust in a container (5) and a measuring device for determining the dust content in the container, said content giving an indication of adjustment of the knives.</p> |
