<p>A wall structure (1) for a wet-room includes at least one substantially rectangular plate member (23a...d) supported by a frame (241a...241c; 261a...261c). A gap (VS1, VS1a, VS1b) is provided between the bottom of the plate members and the floor (101) so that water draining from the plate member impacts the floor. A wall member (105) is preferably provided behind the gap, forward of an edge 104 of the floor. Two such facing plate members may define a space (25) therebetween. In that case, the wall member is preferably provided between the gaps of both plate members. One or more of the plate members may be translucent and at least one source of artificial light (29a...29h), e.g. a fluorescent lamp which generates heat when in operation, is arranged adjacent to the back side of the plate members to illuminate the facing side or sides (21; 22) of the wall structure. The light may generate an air curtain at the back of the plate members.</p> |
