In the system to feed hydraulic oil to a roller, with a controlled bending action, it is fed from an oil tank (1) by a high pressure pump (2) initially through a high pressure filter (3). It then passes through a cooler (4) with a single pressure line (5) to a valve block (7), integrated into the axis (8) of the roller (10). The oil is distributed within the roller to the mantle support points, and is returned through a single feedback line (6) and pumped back to the oil tank (1). An Independent claim is included for the hydraulic oil supply system to a roller (10), with a controlled bend, with a high pressure pump (2) within an oil tank (1). The valves (12-14), at the valve block (7), distribute the oil to the pressure support points within the roller, and then it is returned (6) to the tank (1). The high pressure pump (2) is a screw pump. Preferred Features: The roller (10) has a length of <= 5 m, wholly filled with oil, to rotate at a speed of <= 1000 m/min. The oil is fed at a pressure of /-100 bar in a flow rate of about 250 l/min. through the pressure line (5). A single oil tank (1) is used, without an intermediate wall.
