The invention relates to a device for turning up the side walls of at least one partially expanded carcass (5) on a tire wrapping machine (1). Said device consists of a row of levers (10) that are provided with rollers (11) and that are arranged symmetrically with respect to the drum center and annularly across the periphery of the machine. The inventive device is further provided with a locking device (17) with which the levers are locked in their rest position.
