Tetrahydronaphthylhomopiperazines of formula (I), wherein p is 4 and R<1> at each occurrence is independently selected from hydrogen, halo, hydroxy, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkoxy, haloC1-6alkyl, cyano, nitro and C2-6alkenyl; q is 7 and R<2> at each occurrence is independently selected from hydrogen and C1-6alkyl and at least one R<2> group is hydrogen and R<3> is selected from substituted or unsubstituted C1-8alkyl, C2-8alkenyl and C2-8alkynyl, together with processes for their manufacture and compositions containing them. Compounds of formula (I) are pharmacologically useful.
