The slate tile dressing tool (10) has a blade (1) inserted into a fret-saw (2). The blade has a projecting cutting tooth (6) formed in the end surface (5) on the advance movement direction (V). A working edge (7), at the tooth flank between the tooth point (8) and base (11), is aligned at an angle ( alpha ) of 6-10 deg so that the tooth point is higher than the base (11).
