The suspension has a connecting bearing(17) installed in the region of the generated surface(21) of the cylinder tube(15). The connecting bearing is circular in construction and has a sealing ring(25) which seals off the spring chamber(33). The bearing has a radial pretensioning sleeve(27) with its pretensioning force effective in the direction of the cylinder tube. The sealing ring has a support ring(23) in functional communication with the cylinder tube.
