The trocar (1) consists of a sleeve (2) inserted into the body by means of an obturator (5). The pointed end of the obturator protruding from the trocar sleeve has support surfaces (12,13) movable crosswise to its longitudinal direction between a retracted and inserted supporting position. The support surfaces rest on the rim (3) of the trocar sleeve. The obturator contains a longitudinally movable bolt (19) and has a thrust piece (6) and at least two elastically and radially flexing arms (7,8).
