The invention relates to release coatings used to provide certain adhesive qualities for adhesives adhering thereto. The release coating includes an additive, such as a polydimethyl siloxane, or derivative thereof. The additive alters the adhesion of an adhesive to other substrates after having been brought into contact with the release coating.
