Roof tile handling involves arranging upright roof tile mouldings at the spacing of a kiln car grid pattern before firing and eliminating the tile gaps after firing. A roof tile handling process comprises arranging upright unfired roof tile mouldings at a spacing corresponding to the grid pattern size of kiln cars and, after firing, eliminating the spacing gaps. An Independent claim is also included for equipment for transporting unfired and/or fired roof tiles preferably using the above process.
