The lorry driver cab tipping device has two double-acting hydraulic cylinders (1), which on tipping from a starting position of their two pistons (25) have conduits acting for back flow (B) to the tank (3). The conduits each have a diaphragm (6) and are connected together. The cylinders under the action of pressurized hydraulic fluid activate the tipping process via forward flow conduits (A). The forward flow conduits can be cut off hydraulically by control conduits (8,9), with check valves (7,10) opening to one or the other of the two hydraulic cylinders. Each control conduit on backward tipping is connected with the forward flow conduit of the one or the other hydraulic cylinder. Each of the hydraulic cylinders in the area shortly before the starting position of the piston has a circulating connection (20) over which the piston can travel and issuing in the cylinder wall (26). The circulating connection connects the piston connecting rod cylinder space (21) via the issuing point with the piston-side cylinder space (22).
