ACTIVATOR FOR CYANACRYLATE ADHESIVES

Organic compounds which comprise the structural element -N=C-S-S-C=N- are useful as activators for accelerating the curing of cyanacrylate adhesives if diluted in a solution. The inventive activators provide a means for accelerating the curing while allowing a long waiting period between application of the activator and application of the adhesive. They further prevent a spontaneous, only superficial curing of the adhesive.
