<p>The present invention discloses a technique for inducing Parkinson-like symptoms in animals by injection of LPS into the substantive nigra. Moreover, we disclose a method for preventing and treating the degeneration of neurons in a region of the brain, in particular the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, which is associated with Parkinson's disease.</p> |
