An elevator control apparatus having a vertically lengthy case provided therein with a suction port as an air intake port at a lower portion thereof, an exhaust port as a port, from which the air in the case is discharged, at an upper portion thereof, a heat pipe the radiation fins of which are opposed to the exhaust port, an exhaust fan set so as to discharge the air in the case via the exhaust port while making the air impinge upon the radiation fins, and a heat generating part disposed along an air passage through which the air sucked from the suction port reaches the exhaust fan. This arrangement provides a small-thickness elevator control apparatus of a high cooling capacity.
