PURPOSE: An apparatus for a radio data communication of a mobile communication terminal using an infrared port is provided to receive and transmit data between a mobile terminal and other system by infrared radio, thereby reducing the costs. CONSTITUTION: An MSM(Mobile Station Modem)(11) having a micro processor, all sorts of control and interface chip therein, controls the operation of each constituent block of the terminal, processes CDMA signal, and especially output a control signal for receiving and transmitting an infrared radio signal. An infrared controller(12) supports an infrared protocol in accordance with a control signal for receiving and transmitting the infrared radio signal output from the MSM. An infrared transceiver(13) performs data communication through the infrared radio signal by forming radio data link with other system in accordance with the infrared protocol supported by the infrared controller. |
