RECEIPT TERMINAL DIVERSION METHOD USING LINE LOOP BACK FUNCTION IN ATM PUBLIC NETWORK

PURPOSE: A receipt terminal diversion method using a line loop back function in ATM public network is provided to switch a receipt terminal by using a line loop back function of a receipt terminal. CONSTITUTION: A receipt terminal diversion method using a line loop back function in ATM public network comprises the following steps. An ATM cell is provided through a switch connected a first receipt terminal. A virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier of a header of the ATM cell is checked to check the validity of the ATM cell. The ATM cell is removed if the ATM cell is invalid. A line loop back virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier table is searched to check an existence of the virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier of the ATM cell if the ATM cell is valid. The virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier of the ATM cell is changed on the basis of the line loop back table if the virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier of the ATM cell exists on the line loop back virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier table. The ATM cell having the changed virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier is output to a second receipt terminal. The ATM cell is reassembled if the line loop back table is not identified with the ATM cell.
