METHOD FOR CHECKING MOVEMENT PATH OF CELLULAR PHONE

PURPOSE: A method for checking movement path of a cellular phone is provided to track previous movement path thereof according to a user's request by storing data on the movement path which comprises data on every locations to which the cellular phone has moved and time data on the movement of the cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: A controller(100) initializes(200) a parameter variable(n) for storing the data on the movement path to set it as "1". The controller(100) searches(210) data received from a base station in order to check if location message data is received. The controller(100) stores(220) the location message data and movement path data at the nth address of a memory(140) and displays the stored the movement path data. A hand-off detector(110) checks(230) whether a hand-off occurs. The parameter variable(n) is incremented by "1"(240) if the hand-off has occurred. The controller(100) determines if the parameter variable(n) is less than "N"(250).
