PURPOSE: A fluorescent body of a color cathode ray tube and a method for forming a fluorescent layer by using the fluorescent body are provided to improve the bright uniformity and the white uniformity by making the thickness of a fluorescent layer uniform. CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive material is coated on a glass panel. A fluorescent body is coated on the structure in a power state before the photosensitive material is dried. A light is selectively irradiated on the structure, and then hardened. The rest part of the structure is washed by water. According to the method for forming a fluorescent layer by using a fluorescent body, the bright uniformity and the white uniformity is improved by making the thickness of a fluorescent layer uniform.
