UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An uninterruptible power supply and a method for controlling the interruptible power supply are provided to reduce the size of a converter by connecting the converter in series. CONSTITUTION: A converter(1) is electrically connected to a power source in series. A main inverter(2) has a direct current voltage(VDC) comprising a condenser and a backup battery, and is electrically connected in parallel to the converter(1). A transformer is provided to insulate the converter(1), the main inverter(2), and the power source. An AC switch(TRC1) prevents the current from the power source. A controlling device controls the switching frequencies of the converter(1) and the main inverter(2).
