PURPOSE: A recording system of a switching system is provided so as for a subscriber to be able to selectively record a conversation during communication with an arbitrary PSTN or a private branch exchange(PBX) subscriber and to easily search the recorded conversation during communication. CONSTITUTION: An inter-line subscriber interface unit(25) provides an interface between a PBX(20) and an inter-line subscriber(30) of the PBX(20) and senses a recording command from the inter-line subscriber. A controller(22) controls an arbitrary recording line(27) to perform a recording command. A recording unit(40) records a voice data from the recording line(27). When the inter-line subscriber(30) inputs the recording command to the inter-line subscriber interface unit(25) during communication with an opposite subscriber, the conversation during communication is recorded in the recording unit(40).
