PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating gray voltage for liquid crystal display is provided to simplify impedance matching between the apparatus and the interface integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for generating gray voltage for liquid crystal display includes an interface circuit(20) and a source drive integrated circuit(22). The interface circuit(20) generates positive and negative constant voltages. The source drive integrated circuit(22) includes a first resistor array, and a second resistor array. The first resistor array includes m resistors connected in series with each other. The positive and negative voltages are applied on the resistors. The second resistor array includes m*n resistors connected in series to the first resistor array. The n resistors of the second resistor array are connected to each resistor of the first resistor array in parallel. The positive and negative voltages are divided into m large intervals and are output as m gray voltages. The m divided voltages are divided into n small intervals in the source drive integrated circuit(20).
